Weekly Wednesday Church Nights are held September-April and are a chance for all ages to gather and select from the following: 5:30pm - an informal, brief Eucharist in church, guitar music 6:00pm - provided healthy, homemade meal 6:15pm - Choir Rehearsal 6:30pm - Formation 2x a month, GIFT 1x a month 7:40pm - Bell Choir Rehearsal
The 6:30 pm program includes Christian formation for children in preschool grade through confirmation. Character Club is a new program for prek-3rd grade with fun activities based on a different core value each month. 4th-Confirmation age will have formation groups also. There will be a speaker or program for adults.
Church Nights will meet three times per month. Two Wednesdays the children/youth will be in their age specific program, one Wednesday we will be together for GIFT; Growing in Faith Together, and we will have one Wednesday where we don’t gather at church, instead that time can be used for focusing on faith at home.
November Church Nights:
November 1 – Our own Beth Fait and Leslie Brunfelt will give a presentation on Human Dignity, Depression, and Suicide. Beth recently led a conversation on this important topic at St. Scholastica that included several panelists sharing personal stories. The goal of this conversation is to reduce the stigma surrounding mental health problems.
November 8 – Sue Van Oss, Director of Faith Formation will lead a session on raising children and teenagers in today’s world. This will be an interesting topic for all adults; whether you are currently parenting, are a grandparent, or have children/teens in your life you care about!
November 15 – Our GIFT (Growing In Faith Together) intergenerational session, Homemade Holidays, will focus on the upcoming season of Advent with the chance to create several beautiful gifts to give! It's a very popular event!
November 22 – Church Night is OFF for Faith at Home (check out the website for ideas and suggestions). Happy Thanksgiving!
