St. Paul's provides inter generational events that help bring the seasons of the church year into your home; Ordinary Time, Advent, Christmas, Epiphany, Lent, Easter, and Pentecost. Check out ideas for each season below and the seasonal festivals we offer!
Advent
Advent is the four weeks before Christmas. Our Advent Around the World Festival is one of our biggest events of the year where you can learn about Advent customs in different countries and take home ideas for the Real Reason for the Season.
Lent is a time to look at ourselves and the changes we need to make in our lives. We can make more room for God by choosing not to do some things (fasting) and by choosing to do other things (feasting). Our Lent Festival includes ideas for all ages and even "Lent in a Bag" to take home.
Searching for the spirit of Christmas amid the shopping, parties and lights? Discover how Jesus is born in our hearts at Christmas! Our Happy Birthday Jesus Party and our Christmas Eve Services include a no-rehearsal pageant as we welcome the birth of Jesus!
The week before Easter we journey through Jesus' last days on Earth and Death on a Cross; but the story doesn't end there; Jesus rises from the Dead! Our Alleluia Festival on the day before Easter, helps us realize Easter is more than chocolate bunnies.
The “Twelve Days of Christmas” refers to the days from December 25th through January 6th. On January 6th (the twelfth day or epiphany), we remember the wise men who followed a star to find the baby Jesus... Find out more about Epiphany, and how to survive Christmas vacation.
The Holy Spirit came down onto Jesus' disciples and is alive in our hearts. We celebrate the "birthday" of the church on Pentecost, and we learn how the Spirit gives us life by flying kites and other fun "wind" and Holy Spirit activities
