Centering prayer is an ancient, Christian method of contemplative prayer that has gained much popularity in recent years. This meditative practice is simple and easy to learn, requires no special tools or accessories, and can be a source of deep spiritual peace and enlightenment. Anyone can benefit from adding twenty minutes of centering prayer to their daily prayer life.
Art MacAilein and Marian Flammang will be facilitating a new centering prayer group at St. Paul's. The group's next meeting will be Sunday, February 9, 2020 at 1:00 pm in the Ryan Room. The meetings will consist of twenty minutes of centering prayer and 30 minutes of discussion of a centering prayer text. Our first book for study will be Centering Prayer and Spiritual Awakening by Cynthia Bourgeault.
